The story of Amphasys began in 2004, when researchers at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) and Axetris AG envisioned a new way of analyzing living cells. Out of this idea grew a breakthrough: a chip-based impedance flow cytometry technology.
In 2012, Amphasys was founded as a spin-off from Axetris AG, part of the Leister Group, to bring this innovation to the world. Recognition soon followed: in 2013, we received the W.A. de Vigier Award, Switzerland’s most renowned prize for start-ups, and support from the Albert Koechlin Foundation and CTI Invest®.
Today, we are driven by the same vision that sparked our beginning — to make cell analysis simpler, faster, and mobile. Our technology is now applied in industrial production processes, empowering customers around the globe to improve quality and efficiency.
